The Way Ahead is now live on Amazon as an eBook — available for the next week for just 99¢.
Most Christians aren’t suffering because they don’t have a passion for the truth. They struggle because life is so fast: overscheduled, nonstop screens, and constant noise. Our current way of life can make it hard to slow down, to silence the mind, to really listen, and to reflect on God’s teaching and commands found in the Bible.
That’s the world for which I wrote The Way Ahead.
The Way Ahead is biblically orthodox in its message, deliberately accessible in its form — designed for how people actually live today. I don’t mean trying to be overly reactionary or extreme when I say “biblically orthodox.” I mean holding on — grounded in Scripture and close to the historical heart of the Christian faith.
To orient the reader, I made sure there would be a few general questions to which everything fits:
Who is Jesus Christ?
What does that mean for how Christians ought to live in the world today?
The Church does not want a diminished Jesus. He is the never-changing cornerstone: Jesus Christ, God made flesh and fully man, crucified, risen, reigning until He comes again. And if there is any haze around Christ, then everything else becomes hazy too.
A key point runs through the book: a sturdy faith is not just a feeling — it is the combination of clearly knowing what you believe and living those beliefs every day. The central point is that a healthy faith has two foundations:
Realizing that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human together, not one or the other.
Basing your life on the Bible and belonging to a church community.
Each of the 21 chapters includes devotional thoughts and optional small-group discussion questions. And the book leans hard on Scripture — not because I want you to trust my voice, but because Scripture is the stable ground beneath us when we are lost.
And personally, if you and I were sitting at a kitchen table, with coffee in hand and daily life flowing around us, this is what I’d tell you: I don’t want to show off using religious language, and I’m not trying to win an argument or talk you into something. I would share what I’ve experienced — what changed me, and what keeps me grounded, and the complete trust that I have in salvation.
One more thing I’ve learned: willingness over perfection. If we allow ourselves a slight imperfection, it is better than nothing. I do not imagine God as a perfectionist who looks for polished phrases or an unblemished record. Instead, He desires the heart to move toward Him even when things are not ideal.
If The Way Ahead helps believers cut through the noise, remain true under real pressure, and inwardly turn toward Jesus Christ — then it has done what I prayed it would do.
