The Way Ahead - Audio Book Announcement
At last, I just knocked out the audio recording of "The Way Ahead: Walking Together in Faith Through the Spiritual Trials of Our Time."
I've spent the last three days personally reading a book that is over 300 pages long. I put everything I had into the audio because I want to reach as many people as I can—especially those who might not sit down with a paperback but will listen while they drive, work, walk, or need encouragement.
I moved the book's publication date back to February 2026 to ensure the ebook, paperback, and audio versions would all be released at the same time.
Who is The Way Ahead for?
• Clergy and lay leaders who want to see precisely what the book covers before using it with a group or in their ministry—and to know whether the content aligns with a specific class or discipleship track.
• Thoughtful seekers and returning believers who are looking for a credible, Scripture-rich guide.
What is this book about?
The Way Ahead is an easy-to-read guidebook that walks you through developing an unwavering faith in Christ. A key point runs through the book: a sturdy faith is not just a feeling—it is the combination of clearly knowing what you believe and living those beliefs every day.
The central point is that a healthy faith has two foundations:
1. Realizing that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human together, not one or the other.
2. Basing your life on the Bible and belonging to a church community.
The book is divided into five parts. First, it traces the development of faith. Then it depicts communion with God and explains who Jesus really is. From there, it outlines how we should relate to our world and live out the legacy of faith. Along the way, it addresses modern challenges—secularism, science, media, and cultural division—so you can think clearly and live faithfully.
The Way Ahead includes over 300 quotations from the ESV and more than 300 references, compiled to strict editorial standards for both individuals and the wider church. I'm very grateful to my publisher for arranging for me to record at an award-winning recording studio in Washington, DC, so I didn't have to travel far over the last three days. Their support enabled me to give my very best to this project.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. I'm excited to share The Way Ahead with you in all three formats in February 2026.
P.S. Oh, btw, I didn't realize there'd be pictures this week, so I forgot to shave.
