Faith, Good Works, and the Light
Taking Steps into the Unknown:
Faith is about taking the steps that others don’t see. When you can’t make out what will happen next, every step you take together with the Lord becomes an act of trust. You abandon living for yourself to act on faith, not on your own fancy.
Faith Directs the Day:
Faith is more than going to church on Sundays. It shows up day in and day out in the small things of your life. Your way of speaking and manner are affected by your faith, as are your actions and how you respond to difficulty.
Good Works:
To live your faith means you don’t live alone. By faith, God works in and through you by the Holy Spirit who is inside of you. Turn to the Bible and to prayer. As you advance toward Him, your courage grows, for hope rests not in your individual situation but in who Jesus Christ is. Your purpose becomes clearly visible under His light, growing sharper as you follow Him step by step.
Accepting the Light:
It is not necessary to have all the answers before you take your next step. What you really need is enough trust to accept the light God gives you today.
