Listening for God
Tune Your Ear:
Faith is a conversation and not a conclusion. Listen for God—and, for wise discernment, attend to your own heart and the voices of the wise. God's voice often comes in a whisper, so listen for Him in the day-to-day.
Three Questions for Faithful Resilience:
Challenges in life can deepen your faith. As you work through complicated relationships, doubt about your purpose in life, or internal conflict, stop and inquire:
1. What is God's desire during this time?
2. What is it that He would have me learn at this time of life?
3. How can I show His love to my neighbor?
Practicing Presence:
Faith is not a checklist but a pathway—Scripture, prayer, and silence—that open your eyes to seemingly unimportant events: a child's laughter, strength for a hard day, the peace of night, even the gentle humor in life's absurdities.
Willingness Over Words:
The first thing God pursues is not perfect language but willingness. Start—or restart—today without distractions, and step back into the conversation with the Lord.
Prayer: I choose willingness over perfection. Also, tune my ear so I can hear You more clearly.
